The Ricoh is an amazing little tool. I went to Denmark in September and for the first time left my dslr at home. There were moments I missed it, but most of the time I was so happy not to have to schlepp 4 or more kilos with me on our 10k hikes. I absolutely what that little thing can do. And your photos show it absolutely work for more than just street photography...

These are great photos Marel, glad you only took your favourite camera with you. Having restraints pushes you to be better with what you have at that moment.

Haha, well you might have a point, but then you also need a really large budget and a large backpack to carry your stuff.

the idea of my article is: make the most of what you have. i also think that if you take a photo of a landscape with your beloved ricoh and i take a photo of the landscape with my dslr, we both print the photos same size, if we put the photos beside each other, nobody can tell which was taken with a certain camera.

Indeed. Like that test where they showed an A2 print taken with a Full Frame and one with an iPhone. No one could tell which was which.

didn't see the test but yes, exactly like that

Thanks. I saw him walking into my frame and the owner said 'sorry for that' afterwards, but the dog just made my day!
