I was a big buyer but gave it up years ago. Reason? they’re expensive and hardly enlightening me nowadays. Rarely buy one now. Some suggestions in my post
I'm sorry to hear you're not enlightened anymore by photobooks. I do have a lot of monographs of photographers in other lines of works that still inspire me in some way. And yes, some books can be expensive, but what Isn't? I'm a huge whisky fan, so expensiveness is relative...
Just picked the book off the shelf and I can see your acknowledgment. It’s a great book - a thoughtful exploration of the pace and strains of modern urban living.
Great list, Andrew. The last one, day 100, of Bas Losekoot is dear to me too. I crowdfunded this book and got an signed copy by Bas. I will go through the list in more detail tonight. Thanks for sharing.

Expensive and heavy. And, yes, some of them worth to be bought and read; I still keep a good bunch. Glad you’re a passionate buyer

Oh yes, I am also a keen buyer of photobooks. Lockdown gave me the time to dwell on a phonebook a day and here is what I picked off the shelf:
