Gaaaaaahh that's such a bummer! I love and have photographed in Austin quite a lot, especially pre-tech move in. Such an interesting place. Love this issue Marcel!

Interesting it is for sure. And now tech is already moving out, towards Nashville.

Hello Marcel.

Sorry to hear about the problem with the Trip 35. This has the same release button as the PEN f series and they can be problematic from time to time. To resolve this issue, remove the two small Philips screws with a Philips 00 screwdriver and the plastic button will probably be still stuck in the base. Remove it and clean the sides if it with a tissue and then also the inside of the hole through the base. If the inside of the base plate is dirty or dusty, remove as much of this as you can. Now refit the button in the hole and see if it is stiff, if so use a little alcohol on the tissues once again until the button enters freely. Once this is good then turn th camera upside down and put the button back on the black spigot and replace the base plate and fit screws.

Test by pushing the button in then use the advanc lever and the button should pop out and the film will advance normally.

This should work for you, good luck.

Phillip.
