How much love can you have for a piece of equipment?

I had originally planned to write the third episode in the long-term photography series, but with knee surgery preventing me from getting out and shooting, I have been thinking a lot about leaving my camera alone for a while now. And it does not feel right. A feeling I don't have when I think about my other cameras. They're kind of abandoned and I'm fine with that. My Ricoh GRII is special, so I thought I'd write a love letter to my dear companion.
