I was in the middle of a job photographing the opening of a film festival when I read Elliott Erwitt had died. Despite his 95 years, I was still shocked. He seemed he would just keep going. He'll be dearly missed.
1/12/24 Still is "Happy New Year" time, right! Am just now coming across this "dog story" posting and think it's a great way to start the year just as it was a great way to end '23 because who can't be optimistic if you have a great dog and story, right? So are you still accepting submissions?
Canel was Valery's dog. Nothing special, but this photo of him turned out to be my negative number 10.000. I stopped counting afterwards. The title of the photograph is usually and naturally Canel#10.000.
Hi Tom, thanks for sharing. I see now there is no option to include photos in a comment. Too bad as the photo you emailed is nice. I'll find another way of including your photo

Your photo is a great dog photo.
The first one you shared by Koudelka is one of my favourite ever photos.
And since images can't be uploaded in the comments, how would we do that? Thx!
