This week's newsletter is a little different from the usual ones.
That's because I've been very busy and to round off a busy week, I celebrated my 15th year at the company yesterday. My colleagues surprised me - as I had forgotten that it was already 15 years - with champagne and a sort of scavenger hunt through our towers (we have 6 towers in total...).
They also know that I like to work on long-term projects, so they gave me an hour to come up with a series of photos taken with my mobile phone, in black and white of course. They had to reflect my feelings about the company in these 15 years of work.
Working on projects for 1 to 1.5 years is a bit different from delivering in an hour. But I did it, and although it's not something I'm particularly proud of, I think I did a good job of showing a series that tells a story, my story.
So I wanted to show photos that would somehow ring a bell for my colleagues and at the same time make sense to them, even if they did not hear my side of the story.
It turned out to be a piece of work that reflects my pride in working for this company for such a long time. In fact, I realised today that when I started working 30 years ago (and this is only my second employer), half of my current team hadn't even been born.
This week I learned that it is also possible to create a coherent series in a very short time. It was fun, but I still prefer to take a bit more time with future projects.
That’s it for this week
Till next time,
Congratulations 🥂
