At the beginning of this year I was selected for the exhibition of the Kunstroute Culemborg. This is the 8th edition of the Art Route and the second largest in the Netherlands.
Over the weekend of 30 September and 1 October, the historic centre of Culemborg will be dedicated to art. No fewer than 28 venues will present 57 artists.
Paintings, drawings, photography, sculptures, ceramics, jewellery, watercolours and spatial works. All this can be found during the Culemborg Art Route.
This is the first time I am taking part myself. The organisation has given me a beautiful location. I will be in the salon of Vive coiffures and have 9 metres of wall to show my photographic work.
From my recent project 'Desended Silence', I have selected five works and four individual photos. I had most of them printed on 5mm acrylic glass, but two were printed on brushed aluminium. It gives a very neat effect.
New this year is a collaboration with the city poet. Marinda Pieron has written a poem to accompany the work of 10 artists. These have been printed on posters that can be seen around the city. Below is my photo with Marinda’s poem. After the exhibition, these will be auctioned to raise money for the local hospice.
All in all, the right ingredients for a great weekend. Now we just have to hope that the weather gods are on our side.
That’s it for this week.
Till next time,
