The second issue of Darkrooms Magazine will be published in January 2024. If you haven't read the first one yet, you can find issue #1 here.
I am already busy looking for interesting projects and stories for the second issue. A number of photographers I admire have already agreed to participate. I am already very proud of this issue.
However, I am still looking for a few more projects. Hence this 'Open Call'.
Open Call for Submissions
Do you have an interesting photo project that has a good story behind it, the process and the lessons learned? If so, I am looking for you.
I am particularly looking for projects in the fields of 'social documentary' and 'fashion', but other subjects are also welcome.
Please email me at darkroomsmagazine@gmail.com with a description of your project and a link to where I can view the photos.
This open call will not result in all submissions being published, but don't let that stop you, as I still have many other plans for Darkrooms Magazine, with special features on specific topics. I may also come across interesting projects that I can highlight in the newsletter.
Preliminary cover
Some photo projects have already been received and from these I have created the first preliminary cover. A great image from a wonderful documentary series by Jan Gruiters. This might be the final cover.
