2024: A year of collective growth!
This newsletter is about the flourishing growth of our community and explores the paths of artistic development. From exclusive interviews to a chance to feature in our magazine. Let's grow together.
Reflecting on the past year, the progress of Darkrooms has been nothing short of remarkable. Our regular features have expanded, and our readership has skyrocketed to over 600 subscribers—a testament to the shared interest in the captivating world of Darkrooms. It's not just a numerical milestone; it signifies a community intrigued by the subjects explored in Darkrooms—topics that fuel my own curiosity, such as unraveling the creative processes of fellow photographers.
For new subscribers eager to delve deeper into my motivations and approach to photography, dive into the first episode of 'The Dark Rooms Of...' Discover the essence of what drives me and shapes my photography projects.
A highlight from the past year, and a venture I'm elevating in 2024, is the launch of Darkrooms Magazine. With two issues already published and the third slated for April 2nd, the anticipation is high. What's more, I'm diligently working on the inaugural special issue: Darkrooms Magazine - The Photostack Edition, featuring photography projects from fellow Substackers. Read the newsletter announcing this exciting endeavor and explore the list of photographers contributing to Photostack.
This, to me, epitomizes collective artistic growth— not just our individual advancement through absorbing insightful newsletters but also the vibrant interactions within our community. Engage in discussions through comments and unfold conversations on Notes, Substack's Twitter/X-like feature, minus the toxicity. What a relief!
Returning to Darkrooms Magazine and this newsletter, I believe in sharing knowledge freely. Everything I write here is accessible to everyone, and I invest considerable time in curating the magazine, which can be read via the newsletter or your browser. Want to own a copy of the magazine? It's available for a small charge of 2 euros —

Exciting things are brewing for the next edition! Get ready for an interview with the renowned street photographer Willem Wernsen, who has published a number of well-received photobooks.
Additionally, watch out for a special promotion on one of his ebooks featuring street photography tips.
If street photography is your passion, don't miss out on this upcoming interview and ebook promotion. Willem's captivating work awaits you, and you can catch a glimpse of his photos in the second issue of Darkrooms Magazine.
Stay tuned for more artistic adventures!
That’s it for this newsletter.
